EDS CM Skopje | Young Leaders Academy

The second EDS Council Meeting of the working year 2017/18 will be held in Skopje from 14 to 17 December 2017 under the theme of: “Young Leaders Academy - The role of dialogue in building stronger societies” During this event, we will address the issue of the prospects of EU enlargement, freedom of expression and association, free media and fake news, good governance and the role of young people in creating local and national policies.Joint cooperation of EDS and YFU VMRO DPMNE aims to encourage young people’s awareness and commitment for a better understanding on how to extend cooperation between civil society, governments and the EU; how to distinguish truth and untruth today, and how to ensure a structured and deliberate dialogue when policy decisions are made and implemented.The event is organised with the support of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.In order to join EDS for this event, we kindly ask you to register through your organisation.Every Member Organisation is entitled to send up to two participants, and Guest Organisations - one. Names of additional individuals will be put on the waiting list.The registration deadline is Monday 4 December 2017. The participation fee is 60 Euro for participants from Member Organisations and 70 Euro for Guests.The event will start on Thursday, 14 December at 11. AM with the registrations already open. Please book your tickets accordingly.Please carefully note the following:During this Council Meeting, an extraordinary election procedure will be held for the two vacant positions of Vice-Chairmen. We will also appoint one Deputy Auditor for the financial year 2018.
